Life coaching helps you work out what you want, and how to get there. It looks forward: at your goals, your choices and the next steps that move you towards them.
My name is Kirstan Murphy Adams. I am a psychotherapist with over 25 years' experience, a BACP registered member and an NCPS accredited registrant. My background in psychotherapy means I also understand what can hold people back.
What life coaching can help with
- building self-confidence and self-esteem
- career direction, change or progression
- work-life balance and managing stress
- decisions about relationships, family or a new stage of life
- setting clear goals, and keeping to them
How coaching works
We start by looking at where you are now and where you want to be. Then we agree clear goals and practical steps. In each session we review what has changed, what helped and what got in the way.
I tailor the way I work to each person, so that coaching fits your life and the changes you want to make.
Coaching or therapy?
Coaching focuses mainly on the present and the future. Therapy also looks at feelings and at patterns that started earlier in life. Sometimes a goal is hard to reach because something older is in the way. Because I am also a psychotherapist, we can notice when this happens and decide together what will help most. See counselling.
In Richmond or online
I see clients in the heart of Richmond, or online by Zoom, Teams or WhatsApp.
Fees
Fees are on enquiry. Health insurance does not usually pay for life coaching. If you are not sure, ask your insurer.
