Fees
Fees are on enquiry. Please contact me, and I will tell you the fee for the type of session you need. If you have health insurance with Bupa, Aviva, WPA, Cigna or Vitality, your policy may pay.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between counselling and psychotherapy?
The two overlap a lot, and many people use the words for the same thing. Counselling often focuses on a current difficulty. Psychotherapy often looks more deeply at patterns that started earlier in life. I am trained in both. See counselling.
Who do you work with?
I work with adults. I also carry out attachment and family assessments with parents and families.
Do I need a GP referral?
No, not if you pay for your sessions yourself. If you use health insurance, your insurer may ask for a GP referral.
Can I use my health insurance?
Yes, if your insurer is Bupa, Aviva, WPA, Cigna or Vitality and your policy covers psychotherapy. See how to use your health insurance.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. We can meet by Zoom, Microsoft Teams or WhatsApp video. See online therapy.
Is what I say confidential?
Yes. What you say stays between us, with a small number of limits, for example if someone is at serious risk of harm. I follow the BACP Ethical Framework, and I will explain these limits when we start.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on you and on what you want to work on. Some people come for a few sessions, and others for longer. We review how things are going together.
What are your qualifications?
MSc Attachment Studies (University of Roehampton, 2017), Postgraduate Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy (GPTIM, 2000) and Bachelor of Psychology (University of Malta, 1997). I am a BACP registered member and an NCPS accredited registrant, with over 25 years' experience.
What if I need help urgently?
I cannot offer an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999 or go to A&E. For urgent help that is not an emergency, call NHS 111. You can also call Samaritans free on 116 123, day or night.
